Milestone as a mother...

Yesterday we took a much needed trip out of the house. We drove about 25 minutes to get fast food tacos...that is how it is here in our tiny town. Then we were headed to Walmart for something to entertain our kids...a movie...coloring book...anything. They are feeling a little couped up. I can't blame them because I do too.

So, Carson likes to eat the same old thing over and over. He was mad because he did not want Taco Bandido. I was trying to explain to him how yummy a crisp bean burrito was. He LOVES refried beans (that is ALL he eats at Mexican food places), so naturally this would be a good choice for him. Then he told me, "Mom, I want something a little more healthier." This is coming my child who likes fruit snacks, not fruits and veggies (his own observation). I was proud that he was thinking to eat something healthy. I asked what he would like. He responded, "Something healthy, like you know, a hot dog or a corn dog or something healthy like that."

Something healthy like that. So that was his solution. Good thing that Taco Bandido sells something healthy like that...deep fried corn dogs. So for lunch he had something healthy...a corn dog and ice cream with gummy bears...his dream meal.

He's here!!!

We are so excited to say that our sweet little baby boy was born on Sunday (I am 3/3 with boys and Sunday births), February 15 at 3:52 pm. His name is Logan Marshall Wayment. Marshall is after his Grandpa Wayment. It was a very quick labor and delivery...no epideral! Yikes! Logan weighed in at 9lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long. He and Carson weighed the same, but Carson was 22 inches...I think because of his serious cone head! Both Logan and I are doing great. Everyone else in the house is on antibiotics and sick.

Look at those chubby arms. The newborn diapers never fit my babies...the hospital didn't have any size 1. His little legs are totally squished. Look at that hair...that is what 3 and 1/2 hours start to finish with no pain relief will do to a girls hair! Grandpa Bob, Grandma Marsha, and my sister Heather all made it to the hospital before Logan was born...in time for my dad and Robbie to give me a blessing. Robbie wants to know why all of our kids are born looking just like my dad.

Just an hour or so after birth, he could not get enough of his thumb! YIKES! We already have one of those. I am pretty sure that Nathan isn't going to give it up if his brother gets to do it!

The proud big brothers. Logan was pretty much named Luke, but when the boys came to the hospital, Robbie brought them in and Carson ran right to the baby and said, "Logan, you're here. I love you, Logan." It just seemed right. He and Nate are both doing well. I fully look for things to turn southward when Robbie goes back to work...but until then we are enjoying our new little bundle.

Happy V-day

We had nothing planned to do today in hopes that I would be at the hospital having a baby. No such luck, so we had the improvised Valentines day.
The boys made Valentines cards for Grandma Wayment...complete with construction paper, markers and LOTS of glue. You can't see the red marker all over Carson's face. Good thing it is washable.
Nathan finished his and had a little Capri Sun...
Finished product. Every Valentine should have goldenrod hearts on it. The inside of Carson's said, "I love Grandma, and I know she loves me. Love, C C C C " . I helped him write his message. He did the C's.
Valetines bags with cinnamon hot kisses (cinnamon lips), giant chocolate chips (hershey kisses) and a new race car.

The day was full of true brotherly love...fighting over each others cars. Robbie sent me a beautiful bouquet of roses. For him, tickets to a David Archuletta concert and mexican food for lunch...true love...Robbie and mexican food that is.

Just waiting

Membranes are stripped...now I just wait. This worked like a charm with my other 2. 2 days later we had a baby. If this rings true for this one, we will have one on Valentines day. Not my first choice for days in February, but I will take it if he decides to come then. All I know is that I don't think that I can stand one more Sunday at church with people saying things like, "You haven't had that baby YET!...You look miserable...I don't know how you can stand those kids on your lap because you are SO pregnant...my personal favorite...HOW CLOSE ARE YOUR KIDS GOING TO BE?...WOW, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR HANDS FULL." Thanks people. Anyway...just waiting...

Childish...maybe...

I took the boys to Walmart today. We haven't left the house since Sunday. It is not too much fun when everything I own to wear is tight! I think that Robbie might be sick of sweats...anyway. We went to Walmart. Some how for some reason I got this crazy idea to make rainbow chip cupcake with the matching frosting. MMMMMM. Then I bought a bag of "cinnamon hot kisses" as Carson calls them and a bag of gobstopper hearts. I LOVE seasonal candy. Robbie teases me that I love all treats that little kids love...nerds are one of my favorite.

We came home and right away I baked these cupcakes. I can honestly say that not 1% of this was for my kids. Purely selfish motives. Carson was glad when they came out of the oven. I don't think I've ever made cupcakes before. He loved them. It took some convincing that "these special muffins" did not need butter. I am not sure if the highlight of my day is the cupcakes or the gobstopper heart. I love them both! I can say if the highlight of my day COULD be if my contractions were regular and I could have this baby!!! Wishful thinking. I will find out more at the doctor tomorrow...
